Gabriella Cortese, designer of Antik Batik, is a born traveller. Italian by birth and Parisian by adoption, she has travelled the world. It was in Bali where her fashion journey truly began. There, she fell in love with batik, an age-old technique of printing on silk. Her artistic exploration continued in India, where she delved into other specialist skills: bandhani, a traditional dyeing process, and intricate embroidery techniques that would become hallmarks of her brand.

In 1992, Antik Batik was formally established in Paris with a clear vision: to "create a wardrobe that looks like all the best memories of a world-traveler." 

Today, Antik Batik has become the symbol of a chic, bohemian lifestyle, highly acclaimed by celebrities and women everywhere in search of authenticity. The brand exemplifies this boho-chic sensibility through playfully elegant hand-embroidered dresses, tops, and accessories.
